I was a kid when the store opened in the late 1940s, so we called it "the New Store" Now I remember the name was "The Friendly Corner" Great comic book section, and they would let the kids browse without giving us a hard time.
Always have everything You'd need ; ATM, BEER,Wines, Need, Charcoal, Lottery, Breag,Eggs, milk, fresh Produce , COOKOUT CENTRAL !
The Safeway in NE DC is very neat and clean. The Sales personnel is polite,helpful.
